The Pocket 3 low-end model now features an upgraded Intel Pentium Gold 7505 processor. Compared to the 10th Gen Pentium Silver N6000, the 11th Gen Pentium Gold 7505 is a 2-core, 4-thread processor. While single-core performance is slightly better, multi-core performance remains largely the same. Memory support has been upgraded to LPDDR4x 3733 (which can be manually adjusted to LPDDR4x 4266 in the BIOS), offering increased bandwidth compared to the previous generation.

The integrated 11th Gen UHD graphics, with 48 EUs and 384 stream processors, boasts stable Intel UHD graphics drivers. Gaming performance is comparable to the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U.

The 11th Gen Pentium Gold 7505 offers a 33% increase in integrated graphics specifications compared to the 10th Gen Pentium Silver N6000, resulting in a doubled frame rate for games. The Pentium Gold 7505 also supports Thunderbolt 4, enabling it to connect to the GPD G1 external graphics dock for playing AAA games.

Additionally, one of the USB-A ports is a 3.2 Gen2 standard, supporting 10Gbps speeds. The other two USB-A ports (including the module) are 3.2 Gen1 standard, supporting 5Gbps speeds.

Both the high-end and low-end Pocket 3 models utilize SSDs with PCIe Gen4×4 specifications, but the Pentium Gold 7505 does not support PCIe Gen4, resulting in a PCIe Gen3×4 speed for the SSD.

Here's a summary of the differences between the low-end Pentium Gold 7505 and the N6000:

  1. Upgraded processor and memory at the same price.
  2. Doubled integrated graphics performance compared to the previous generation, equivalent to Vega 6.
  3. Thunderbolt 4 support, enabling compatibility with the GPD G1 mobile graphics dock.
  4. Upgraded memory to 16GB LPDDR4x 3733.
  5. Standard 512GB PCIe Gen4×4 SSD, but the processor only supports PCIe Gen3, resulting in PCIe Gen3×4 SSD speed.
  6. TDP support from 15W to 25W, defaulting to 15W, adjustable to 25W manually in the BIOS.
